Terms & Conditions

  Please read these terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions apply to bookings made online, by phone or in person. We reserve the right to have other cottage rules as we see fit which we may vary from time to time - these cottage rules can be found within the property.
1 Craobh Marina Cottages are a trading subsidiary of Craobh Marina, part of the Holt Leisure Group.  Cottage bookings and property administration are run through the Craobh Marina office, Craobh Haven, Lochgilphead, PA31 8UA. Any questions or enquiries should be addressed to Sue Johnston who can be contacted by email (sue@craobhmarina.co.uk) or by phone on 01852 500222.  The location of the Marina Office is shown on the map on the "How to Find us" page of this website.
2 Booking Acceptance. A cottage booking is not accepted until you receive a "Confirmation of Booking" email.  If any of the booking details are incorrect, you should contact the Marina Office immediately.
3 Deposits.  A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week per booking per cottage is payable at the time of booking, together with a £50 good housekeeping deposit which will be refunded on departure if the cottage is left in good order.  By placing a deposit, you accept that the deposit represents a fair estimate of our loss in respect of the booking being cancelled.
4 Balance payment.  The balance of the cottage booking fee is payable 28 days prior to arrival.  Payments can be made by contacting the Marina Office or via the booking web site.  For bookings made within 28 days of arrival, the full amount is due at the time of booking.  If you do not pay the balance when it is due, we may treat your booking as cancelled and no deposit refund will be given.
5 Cancellations.  Cancellations must be notified either by letter or email - booking deposits are not refundable.  If cancellations are made within the 28 days prior to the arrival date, no monies will be refunded.  To cover yourself against this eventuality, we recommend that you arrange suitable Holiday cancellation insurance.  This policy does not affect your statutory rights.  You can find out more about your right to cancel a contract formed at a distance froim the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) regulations, which should be available from your local consumer advice centre.
6 Arrival and DepartureTimes.  Your cottage will be available from 4 pm on the date of arrival.  If you wish to arrive earlier, please arrange this prior to the date by contacting the Marina Office.  On the day of departure, you are rquired to vacate your cottage by 10am at the latest so we may prepare the property for the next guests.
7 Accuracy of details.  While information given in our brochure and on our website is accurate at the time of publication, changes may have been made in the accommodation or facilities described.  Not all our cottages are identical, so there will be variations between them.
8 Alternative accommodation.  We reserve the right to provide alternative, but in our opinion equivalent accommodation if necessary.
9 Pets and Animals.  Well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £15 per week per dog up to a maximum of 2 dogs per property.  Craobh Marina Cottages disclaims any responsibility for their behaviour, including damage within the cottages.  Animals are not permitted on the furniture or bedding and must not be left unattended in the properties.
10 Breakages.  Guests must undertake to keep the propery in the same state of repair and condition in which it was found at the commencement of the holiday.  All breakages must be reported and the cost may be deducted from the housekeeping deposit.
11 Electricity charges.  Electricity is charged by the unit - a meter reading is provided at the start of the booking.  Please read the meter prior to departure and pay for the units consumed at the Marina Office on the day of departure.
12 Occupancy.  The number of people occupying the cottages must not exceed the number of sleeping spaces.  In the event of an extra bed being required, please arrange this with the Marina Office prior to arrival.  An extra charge may be applicable.
13 Complaints.  We aim to provide you with the best holiday possible, but in the event of any complaint we do ask you to bring this to the attention of the Marina management in order that the matter can be resolved immediately.
